I don’t think age stops a woman’s fancies. At my bachelorette luncheon (because I’m just not the “party” type) I got a waiter about my age, who, I’ll admit, didn’t look bad at all. While I’m pulling lingerie and candle sets out of the gift bags I’d received (to my sheer embarrassment!) my grandmother’s flirting with the waiter.

“She’s getting married, you know, but I’m single. I’d be good to you. I’d put you on a shelf and dust you everyday!”

Between the lingerie gift bags and my grandmother, the poor guy was red the whole time he served us.

Oh, I really can’t say a word - for years I voted for the female regardless of her party affilation or knowledge of the job,.

This is why we need a constitutional amendment requiring some form of competency to vote - (maybe a test that shows a reasonable working knowledge of the constitution itself?)

People who vote solely race, sex or creed just nullify the votes of the informed.

It would be like me voting for Huckabee just because he’s a bass player.

No wonder people think Palin is qualified to be President. I agree with EScott2U that we need a test before we allow people to vote. Except he left off religion, looks, and intelligence. Most of our great Presidents could not be elected today because they don’t look good on TV. Middle America is the most ignorant voting Republican when the Republican party only care about the rich and big business.

Now if Huckabee were a bass fisherman, that would make all the difference.

Although I shudder to think of Palin in the Whitehouse, I disagree with a test to get to vote. If you are a U.S. citizen over 18 without any felon convictions you should be able to vote. Once you get on the slippery slope of tests for voter qualification sooner or later someone is going to start rigging the test.

Will that really be a day? Not just the first Hispanic «presidente estadounidense», but a THIRD President George Bush? It will be the first father-son-grandson Presidents as well as first uncle-nephew Presidents.

Voting for another shrub is national suicide.
