Actually, the term raptor existed long before “Jurrasic Park”. Even before the discovery of the fossils of the deinonychus, raptors were represented by hunting birds like hawks and falcons.

Spielberg took a lot of liberties with reality when it came to the Velociraptors in the “Jurrasic Park” movies. Real velociraptors were much smaller than Spielberg showed them. About 6 to 7 ft from nose to tip of the tail and they weighed about 35 lbs full grown. The larger size made them seen more formidal in the movies. They were bad enough in reality. They would swarm their prey in large packs. Sort of like Piranha with legs.

But wait. to combat the raptors comes a figure from the east. It’s a pumpkin. A GREAT pumpkin. And it will save the most sincere people in their pumpkin patches…wait, has that one been used too?
