California isn’t a swing state, so we don’t get as many ads for the presidential campaign. However, the commercials for and against ballot propositions are unending. It reaches the point where I despise the ads for the side I support almost as much as the opponents’.

all the money spent on this election could have been used to improve our infrastructure(so our power grid won’t fail, our subways won’t be flooded, etc…), improving our schools, hiring more cops, etc…

Luckily we don’t get this in the UK. There’s the occasional party political broadcast that nobody bothers to watch but no election adverts.

In Texas they just assume that we are all Republicans so we don’t get many national ads but we are getting a crap load of local ones and it got so bad last week I had to resort to watching TV with the remote in my hand so I could switch channels every time one came on….which was about every 5 minutes……I voted early and will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad when this is all over. That being said, in 2014 we have mid-term elections so here we go again.

We need to return to whistle stop campaigns. No TV. No radio. Get on the back of a train and take your message directly to the people. And kryptonite the super pacs.

So glad this is almost over. Now it’s time to return to a simpler time. A time where most commercials are lawyers trying to get us all sue each other.

Born and bred in the UK. Lived in the UK for all my life (bar 4 years in Spain) – and I`ve still had bloody junk e-mails for the US elections…

I live in Florida every other commercial is an Obama or a Romney commercial, I voted early and will be glad when this is all over, I hope the next election has some better choices then these two idiots.

The trouble with TV today is that the programmes keep interfering with the adverts
