If the glass was empty and was then being filled, it would be half full, likewise if it was full and was being emptied. On the other hand, if the glass was half full and just sitting there, then evaporation would mean it was on it’s way to being empty (point two above).

I should probably get back to work now.

they’re both wrong… if you look closely, the glasses are 51% full

Dump half empty glass on pessimist so they realize the other half is more important !
