Yup, sounds like my 9 month old cat. Yesterday he broke a glass dish and when caught to keep out of it scratched up the BF. Then he ran around like a crazy cat, trying to hide the BF’s keys, and to top the night off. The BF got a glass of water set it down and before he could turn around and sit down on the bed the furry creature pulled it over on himself.
Yeah, that doesn’t work with my cat. He’s part Maine Coon and LOVES water (he will get in the shower with me). Last time I sprayed him. He sat up and started cleaning himself with the water.
Just before my sister got married my eventual bro-in-law’s folks came down for a visit at the house. Our cat, Cat (long story) made her appearance in the living room, checking out the new bipedals. My b-i-l’s dad addressed the cat and growled, “I’m gonna call you ‘Midnight!’” “You can call her anything you want,” I told him, “She’s a cat; she won’t come!”

We took or dog to obedience classes, and she picked up on obeying commands right away – if she felt like it.
