That’s about the most un-American comment I’ve read here. Minimum wage has nothing to do with outsourcing. You simply could not survive in the U.S. for what workers in China, Brazil, India can survive on. It’s competitive advantage from Econ 101. The problem is that most Americans are worth far more than minimum wage.The other huge factor in outsourcing is the fact that the governments of those nations have been willing to massively subsidize factories. I doubt you’d back any such spending by our government.Wages in China have been rising rapidly. We’re already seeing some manufacturing return to the U.S., but that is only highly automated operations that require high skill workers. The low skill jobs will be going from China to less developed places. We’ve already seen this process. Japan, Taiwan & South Korea used to be low wage manufacturing centers, & lost those jobs to China.
