Alex never did anything wrong. She was hired as the company was restructuring, to assists in the restructuring. It was business. Everyone thinks Alex had a vendetta, or was acting on ill will. Betty’s job was “abolished” during Alex’s FIRST WEEK at her new job, it was just Alex’s job to tell Betty. Remember when the other guy (Eric, I think) was summoned to Alex’s office to be fired, and Betty stole his chair BEFORE he was fired? That was more sinister than anything Alex did!

If you can see her for what she is, then you can hold onto the friendship… it’s when you don’t see her flaws that you end up disappointed and hurt
