    I can count on our dog carrying his dish into the dining room (only servants eat in the kitchen!) at 5:00 on the dot.

    This is so perfect! My dog is exactly that way, including wanting to be fed right at 5 o’clock. He also has his clock set for going to bed – 9:30. He’s like clockwork.

    Cats also perform this service. However, they completely ignore the time changes twice annually.

    My dogs do the same thing. Only when we set the clocks back one hour and it’s four o’clock, they start barking for their dinner since they think its five o’clock. After three weeks, they get use to the time change.
