Well, Anne has kids too, so it should feel like home! Totally normal for someone with kids.

Provided I wasn’t over for a dinner party, this wouldn’t bother me at all! In fact, I’d find it refreshingly honest.

How do you get needles out of a cushion anyway? I bet some get mostly pushed in and you don’t find them till the cushion is squished down…

A very wise mother once commented, “You don’t really appreciate, understand or even like kids until you have one of your own”.

As the old saying goes, “No house with children, pets, or bachelors stays clean for long!”

Our house wasn’t like this, because we weren’t allowed to do it! The animal fur is different. Can’t help that! :)

I wonder if it would it be safe to sit on John and Elly’s bed while they waited instead . . . or if there’d be something wrong with it too?!?

we had broken a leg on our bed during our honeymoon at club med because … never mind. we still blame it on the kids today even though they weren’t there. My parents never had a clean house while us 3 kids lived there … now my mom is fanatical about keeping things neat and clean and uncluttered. We have to bring back more things to our home than we brought for our visit to their home.

I’m glad it’s not true that you “can’t appreciate, understand, or even like children until you have one,” cause I’d be one really crappy second grade teacher then.

The position Anne is in in the first panel, she can’t NOT sit there!
