Ah, the gift dilemma. If they really want something, odds are they have it. If it’s a hobby, you can’t get the right thing. So, either you buy them replacement clothing, food or drink, or something they tell you exactly what they want, or you get them something they don’t have, and hope they discover later that they wanted it after all.
I’m an AFOL (Adult Fan Of LEGOs), and so is my nephew. With us, you can never go wrong with LEGOs. Even if it’s a small set, or one we already have one of, we can still use and appreciate it. (The result of the “building instructions” is only the beginning…)
Surprising that Elly was rather even tempered about a chainsaw, considering they can be dangerous. Wasn’t there a story arc where Michael and his friends went to a clay pigeon range and Elly freaked because he handled a shotgun? Elly seems panicky when firearms are used, owned or mentioned, so this seems out of her league not to freak over chainsaws. Come to think of it, cars are also dangerous, but Elly seems even keeled over that and handles the car responsibly too.

In other words, “just because.”

“Then he could learn chainsaw carving”.After he loses a limb, and not from the tree, you can call him “Lefty” or “Stumpy”.Get him a lathe instead. :)

Not at all suitable for hedge trimming.

It’s not “female” logic because there are men who do the same thing buying gifts for their wife and children.

I have a chainsaw, but my wife won’t let me have a wood chipper. Too many late night movies?

Personally, I have two chainsaws. A woman and her chainsaw, it’s a beautiful thing.

Huge waste of Christmas money. Get the guy jewelry if you like him.

Most men would love to have a chainsaw or any new tool to add to the pile of tools they don’t use! :)

My husband has just about every tool known to man. He was never a Boy Scout but he’s a firm believer in always being prepared for ANY situation.

Why is there a disembodied head in front of Ellie, facing Liz. Did she bring Michael’s head along to shop, but not the rest of him?
