This is so ME too! My husband takes bumper to bumper traffic literally. Sometimes I tell him to just hit the guy in front and get it over with. (He never has yet – but I’m waiting)
I usually say these things jokingly but he gets it. He’s more careful now that he’s getting older and realizes his reactions are a little slower.I also have said – I don’t want to know what insurance company those people have.
My mother never drove ( behind the steering wheel, that is ) a day in her life. Back in the ’30’s, she worked in the State Motor Vehicle Accident Division ,and claimed that was the reason she never wanted a license. She was, however, a consummate Backseat ( or Shotgun seat ) driver. There is a place in heaven for my father, who put up with her in the car for all those years. After he passed away, my poor brother earned his wings, chauffeuring her around.I was lucky, because I was rarely at home, and she was luckier, because, unlike Dad and Bro. I lacked the patience to put up with it. I’d been known to pull over to the side of the road and say: " If you can do better, you drive ! " Worked every time ( for about 20 minutes ).

I’m tempted to send this to my wife, but I know she wouldn’t be amused.
