Dill: You draw happy faces on little rocks? Alice: Yes, it's my way of spreading cheer! Dill: You're such a good person. Alice: I draw a happy face on a rock, then release it into the wild for everyone to enjoy! Petey: Why do i keep feeling like I'm being stared at and laughed at? Alice: Petey, you're going to be late for school again.

I live in Kansas—lots of rocks. Mostly river rocks, f limestones, shale, dolomite, chert, sandstones and siltstones.

SE Kansas is very rocky – every spring we went and picked rocks out of the field after they were pushed to the surface. Homesteaders built fences out of rocks – many are still standing.
