I suggest a compromise. He does his part of the project, and has to explain the whole of the assignment to his mother. If he can prove he has learned, it doesn’t come to the attention of the teacher. Assuming he/she cares at all.
…. the question is…..will Junior be able to pass the exam/test if he does none of the work? …. and pass that exam/test with the same grade as obtained on the group project? I would expect said child to obtain the same grade on an exam as on the project, or better. (learn from any mistakes)
