And as far as Pogo comics, I remember reading them as a kid. All I specifically remember though was “Deck the Halls” being desimated by the characters trying to recall the lines (with Boston Charlie). Oh, yeah. And “We have met the enemy, and he is us!”Seemingly true words.

Linda has the same look on her face as a waitress in a diner I once knew. It was in the late 70’s and this waitress seemed to always work the weekend 10 PM to 6 AM shift. Nice friendly lady, in her 40’s and about 4 foot 11 or so. I would go to this diner after my weekend job and get a cup of coffee and a bit to eat before heading home for 4 hours of sleep. I “bounced” at a club during the weekends and the club would close around 3:30 or 4:00 in the morning.
One early morning, about 4:30 AM, a couple got overly amorous in a booth to the point were, well this is a GP rated site. That was the waitress’s exact look only she was pouring coffee. Thank God the pot only had about a cup and a half in it before she started to pour. The coffee went all over the counter. I was turning to see what the “ruckuses” was behind me just as the hot liquid start to spill over the edge. If I did not turn on the stool, the coffee would have ended in my lap.
Needless to say, the XXX rated live show was cut off by a policeman who was on his dinner break. Things were a little less “strict” back then, he just told them to get home and next time rent a hotel room.
TSOJ responded to my post Sunday re Beethoven’s birthday late Sunday PM CST, which was Monday morning for him, and recommended Richard (Cul de sac) Thompson’s Poor Richards Almanac which recently touched on Beethoven. The words in that one comic are to be sung to Beethoven’s music he wrote for Schiller’s poem Ode to Joy, which concludes Beethoven’s Ninth, although LVB left out the stanza which would have distressed his Habsburg friends.
Hilarious! Not a muscle in Linda’s face so much as twitches. Guess that’s what one calls shock. And as always, Holly’s response is priceless. Hmmm, Holly in frame 1 reminds me of early Holly and Wally storyline.
She’s more stocky than chubby. Its just that we originally saw Linda’s mutated form in an ill fitting biosuit (which was originally stretched to Linda’s statuesque premutation form. Her normal outfit is a bit loose, making it hard to judge her figure. She definitely looks a lot better in something more form fitting.

Sometimes I see a reference to Endtown 1.0. Is that a story from before Al & Gustine? If so, it is available anywhere?

Endtown 1.0 was Al and Gustine. That was the first storyline, only added here after the fact.
