I know what my kitty boy would say. "Get your a$$ out of bed and give me some food, but that’s every night, not just Christmas Eve.

I have actually trained my cat which is supposed to be impossilbe. I have taught her to wake me up at any hour of the night if she is hungry.

Wow, I didn’t know that all animals could do that . . . . all these years I thought that it was just my Labrador retriever that could speak on Christmas eve.

From the grimace in panel 2, it looks like Ludwig is not real happy about speaking or showing his thanks.

Tried that with the dog once. Woke her up at 11:55. She went through her “routine” and back to sleep. But, I really think I heard her muttering and, wow, it wasn’t nice.

I have posted this one on the door of Branford Compassion Club, a cat rescue center in Connecticut. Thank you, Mr. Johnson, for this touching strip today!

Our toms come over and curl up with me. Our girl comes over and asks to be brushed by rubbing her head on the brisstles. And thanks me by a paw touch and and curling up. sorry, they always tell us they love us We just need to learn to listen.
