If someone constantly blunders from one crisis to another surprising someone who lives on the other side of the country is a “wonderful” idea.

Uhh, Mona? If you’re still pining over the Hawaii guy, are you sure you really want to spend big bucks to fly to New Jersey to be with Lucas Loser?

Oh, the humour… it took a little translation, but in British terms this is like passing over an ex who lives in Bermuda for another ex who lives in Birmingham or Middlesborough (Andy Capp territory). I understand New Jersey is not thought of as the most desirable, attractive, aesthetically pleasing, part of the USA? Just like Birmingham or Stoke, then…

What cartoonist is strong enough to pass up a free shot at a New Jersey punchline?

In addition to other considerations, New Jersey has Winter, and Hawaii does not.

“I have lived in New Jersey for forty years and have passed through 38 other states in that time. Blight is NOT our particular problem. Indiana and California have stinkholes as well.”

Still, you’ve got Hawaii in the other column. Hawaii vs New Jersey. Hawaii vs Indiana. Hawaii vs California. Hawaii vs…whatever. In December.

    “I kinda like it here.”

No doubt you have reason. But it’s not traditionally high on people’s lists when they’re planning a winter getaway…
