Clerk: The doctor will be right with you, Mr. Drabble. You and Wally can take a seat on the couch.
Wally: Shiver shiver shake (x2) Shake shake shiver shiver shake
Ralph: Try to relax, will you? I keep thinking my cell phone is vibrating!
Liver. Overcooked and broken into little pieces. My Bichon had to get his ears cleared of ingrown hair every few weeks (all Bichon Frise have this problem). The first time he yelped and cried, and after that hated to get into the car. So the next time I took liver. Liver on getting into the car, liver on getting out of the car, liver on entering the groomer’s, liver on getting onto the table, liver after each ear hair-removal. The next trip, I had to hold him back, he was so eager to go. He was so busy looking for his liver that he didn’t even appear to notice the hair-pulling, just wagged his tail and licked the groomer’s hand. Then looked at me for his liver.
We had one cat that loved the vet. He went on a harness and leash, no carrier for this 24# giant. He would strut into the place like he owned it, even staring down dogs. In the exam room he would jump up onto the table and calmly await the Vet or VetTech to come give him proper courtesy. He will ever be missed!
Our Dachshund is so friendly going to the vet is no problem. Our cattle dog cross, on the other hand, practically has dug nail grooves in the pavement outside the vet’s office building from being dragged in. She can’t wait to vacate the premises after the visit is over and I’m trying to pay the bill.
My dog never did that until one time we had to sit in the waiting room with another dog who trembled. My guy was calm and happy to see the vet. Since I was with him the whole time, I know the vet didn’t do anything to make him afraid. But on our next visit, as soon as we walked through the door, my dog started to tremble.

As long as the vet gives treats, Moxie doesn’t mind going to visit.
