Just don’t sit Nibiru near the Oort cloud . . . unless you want to disrupt the gravity at your dinner party and bombard it with dislodged comets. Your other guests will not appreciate such unpleasantness.
Many of the commentators here, are too young to remember when Nike missile sites were as ubiquitous as ball parks, and air raid sirens wailed alarms for mock bomb attacks, and we kids had duck and cover drills at school, in case of nuclear attack, by the Russians or Chinese ( or both ). This was an age when many, many people built fall-out shelters in their own back yards. People stockpiled food, medical supplies and firearms in fear of the coming Apocalypse. These fears were fueled by the extreme right-wing of the Republican Party ( John Birch Society and Sen. Joe McCarthy for example ). And, although we kids went ahead with our daily lives of school and play and family, we were AFRAID. Secretly, silently, we were afraid, – afraid of an Armageddon not of our making.Any reason that a large percentage of those 50’s kids became anti-war activists in the 60’s and early 70’s ?

The Planet Nibiru isn’t that intimidating in person. It’s all reputation. “The Dread Planet Nibiru”. More like “dreadful”.
