Doesn’t t mean the boys can’t play quietly in Michael’s room. IMHO, Ellie should set aside a quiet time to do her work after supper when the kids have had time to let off steam during the day and could watch TV or play games.
The only times my mother would deny me or any of my siblings bringing a friend into the house was if she was really sick…which was just about almost never.
Sometimes this works out and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes having my kids’ friends over keeps them occupied and out of my hair. Other times, I spend way too much time feeding them, cleaning up after them, and/or helping them do things (or they are tearing around the house being wild).
He’s little now, but when he gets older she’s going to wish he brought his friends home, that way she can know just where he is! Of course, since he is little now, she ought to take some time to enjoy him.Just a comic, just a comic, just a comic…but parents should take heed!
Looks like they have to go to Gordon’s house. That’s the downfall of winter, kids want to play inside their friends homes and a lot of times, it just isn’t convenient for the parents.
Kids without parents caring where they are or what they’re doing just may end up finding things to do with their time that aren’t necessarily good for them!
There was a time when kids played outside all day long and nobody got upset about it, least of all the kids. Nowadays, they’re indoors all the time and we have an obesity epidemic among children. Plus, we’re paranoid about their being kidnapped by a stranger when most child murderers know the kid and aren’t strangers to them at all.

Play outside it’s better for you and a lot more fun. Or go get a job shoveling snow.

I’m not really understanding why she’s not letting Michael bring his friend in to warm up. If they make noise, she can always toss them out.

So, how are we so much better off today?
