I wrote a story once about a really big, huge, gigantic, enormous, humoungously large pipsqueak.
I once had a teacher who was obsessed with “one thought, one sentence.” We showed her pages of Dickens, Thackeray, etc in which one sentence could cover a whole page. Her response: “Well when you get published you can write any way you want.”
Like they said in an old Schoolhouse Rock song: “Simply unpack your adjectives.”
That’s very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very clever.
