High fructose corn syrup has a way of doing that.

He must be having his foot for breakfast, considering that it’s in his mouth.

Yeah, but how many bowls of oatmeal does Petey have to eat before he turns into a blue-hat wearing, granny-looking, religiously-persecuted man?

Quaker Oats man to waitress: “I’d like to try something different today. Do you have any Lutheran oats?” (I forget which Far Side successor I clipped this from – my fridge is 50 miles away so can’t look.

Yeah, in the 60’s, Sugar Pops, Sugar Smacks, Frosted Flakes. I ate them without milk…..still a sugar addict to this day.

The secret to good oatmeal is to put enough salt in the water. Most people don’t because “enough” seems like it would be too much. I also serve mine with a lot of butter.

But it’s not oatmeal!
