That’s cute, but after hearing my sister telling about the testing her dog went through before she could take it to a nursing home, I can guarantee neither of them would have passed!!!
A few years ago we took our husky to visit my father in a nursing home – she got loose and raced down a hallway – that’s the last time we took her! (hope she didn’t give anyone a heart attack!)
I had a champion smooth collie dog that was a certified therapy dog. Although he had his CD (novice obedience) title, he was required to go through a training program. There’s a group called Therapy Dog International (TDI) that doesn’t require extensive training. The dog just needs to pass the AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) test. This is a simple test that most well behaved dogs can pass. You can get information about TDI on the Internet. You can get information about the requirements for the CGC from the AKC Website. TDI uses the CGC to test a dog. If the dog passes the CGC it can become a therapy dog. You can send in the CGC results and get a certificate from the AKC stating that your dog has earned its Canine Good Citizen certificate. It isn’t necessary for a dog to be purebred to get a CGC. I’ve got an older smooth collie bitch that I’m planning on getting TDI certified. She’s 11 years old so is pretty calm. My other dog was about 8 when he became a TDI dog.

Just because you do “bad” things doesn´t mean you are a bad person.

Destiny is right. Neither Will nor Kenny would be acceptable as a visiting dog. Will is too aggressive and Kenny too flighty.
