Cathy: We did it! We assembled my whole home office workstation! I just have to set up the computer, printer, zip drive, scanner, phone, fax machine, lamp, hot sync cradle, stapler, tape, pencil sharpener, paper clips....and I have everything I need! Except a place to actually do any work. Irving: Here's an expandable kitchen table. Want to build that next?

Maybe they need to get a set of shelves for all that stuff. They still sell scanners. lol

I use my scanner much more than my printer. (Same machine, but different functions.)

Apparently, Cathy needs a desk for her desk! Wonder if that’s the NEXT thing on her home office list to be bought and assembled?!? Meanwhile, the stapler, tape, pencil sharpener, paper clips and other misc. office supplies like that can be moved off the top of her desk and put into one of its drawers. After all, that’s what they’re there for!
Hi, rgcviper!
Hello and Happy Saturday, “Cathy” clan. Hope everyone’s having a really nice weekend so far!

I built myself a desk to work on during my university years – not quite as complicated as Cathy’s, and long before the days of computers. I ended up storing my books on the desk, and went on sitting at the dining table to actually do my reading and writing.

Yup—I know this feeling all too well.

Coinkydink – I am reading these comments while using my second scanner to scan Dad’s slides. I have a scanner on my printer but bought this one earlier this year as it will scan 16 slides at a time (although it does regular paper too). My third scanner (also bought this year) has a sheet feeder for archiving older meeting minutes and stuff like that. And like Cathy, right now I have very little empty space on my desk – but then all I really need is the keyboard.
