Cathy: Goodbye, bare bellies! Goodbye skimpy tops! Goodbye, tiny skirts and teensy pants! Office worker: May I help you? Cathy: Put some clothes on, young lady! September. Unless, of course, you're going to the office.
I agree that Cathy is right – the other woman needs to dress more professionally! The only way the other woman will get a pay raise is if she works at Hooters or with Lila (in the comic “The Meaning of LIla” where the boss is a notorious lech.)Good morning, Cathy clan! I hope you’re enjoying your day off (if applicable), or at least I hope your Monday is going well!
Ah yes, another winter of gals wanting the office kept at 80 degrees so they can wear their “cute” summer outfits all year around. Bleah. Put on a sweater if you’re cold.
I agree with Cathy on this one! I can’t imagine an outfit like this being appropriate in any business setting except maybe an exercise facility — certainly not in the same office where Cathy works.
Hi, rgcviper!
Hello and Happy Labor Day to all my “Cathy” friends who observe it. And even if you’re somewhere where you don’t . . . well, I hope you all had a really great Monday too! :-)
P.S.: Loving my new laptop computer so far . . . although it’s taking some time getting used to! It has Windows 8, more gigs of memory, blah-blah-blah so it’s MUCH faster (which I absolutely love!) than my 8-year-old HP Windows XP computer but the keyboard is quite a bit different on this one than what I’m used to, so I find myself making a lot more unintentional typing errors than usual of one kind or another (which is very aggravating) but hopefully it won’t take too long before I become much more proficient at using it. But probably the biggest thing I’m having problems adjusting to is that I’m now having to use Chrome instead of the more familiar Firefox (my husband’s idea — not mine!). Some things about it (Chrome) are better, and other things about it are worse but I guess it’s just another thing — much like the different keyboard layout — I simply have to get used to . . . eventually!!!!! But I’m just so darn happy to have it that I simply don’t care . . . love it . . . and love the world’s sweetest, most wonderful husband any woman could ever ask for and hope to get too!!!!!

@ legaleagle She’s always been her mother’s clone. I’m afraid I agree with her this time.

Yeah—I’d say that choice of clothes is … not quite right … for the office. You tell ’em, Cathy.
Thanks for the congratulations yesterday on my 5,000 posts. And what an awesome cake, lightenup! I loved it.
HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.

The only workplaces that would allow halter tops and bare midriffs probably charge $200/hr
