I don’t care how good you are at your job… dress professionally at work. Feel free to dress however you like in your spare time, but I just can’t take people seriously when they’re not dressed for their job.Good morning, Cathy clan! I hope you all had a great long weekend (if you had Monday off)!Anona Mouse – Are you there? Haven’t heard from you in a while? Are you having trouble posting, or just busy?

Good morning, “Cathy” clan, hope you don’t mind a newbie weighing in.

Just wait till these charming young hardbodies turn 50 and get visited by the menopause fairy. Methinks the belly shirts will go in the Goodwill box…

I freelance now as a medical writer/medical director for education and med communications companies, but I can remember dress sometimes being an issue for younger members of both genders. I remember a few years back a project manager sternly informing the younger members of our pitch team that they all had to wear socks or stockings to to the presentation, and full suit dress – watch the necklines for the ladies, and gentlemen, ties please. While everyone accepted this, there was some grumbling, especially from the women about pantyhose or “knee highs” which are now a foreign concept if you a woman under 40. I was surprised by the ability to wear shorts at my last full time job (and then trying to find a nice pair of “business-appropriate” bermudas. There can be a fine line between appropriate business casual and looking like you are spending the day at the beach! Have a good day, all.

@Susan Cathy is a college graduate. Where did you ever get the idea she dropped out of high school? She’s also allegedly never weighed more than about 140 lbs., if you’ve been reading the strips as carefully and obsessively as I have over the years. She is filled with neuroses, I’ll give you that one.

I’m under 35 and I would never dress like these girls do for a professional job

Poor Mr. Pinkley! Somebody had better call an E.M.T. because I think he may have just had a heart-attack!!!!!

Speaking of E.M.T.’s . . . it makes me think about our dear friend, Aaron [and, of course, Dr. Billy too]. I wonder where they are? How they are? Still hoping they come back to us again someday soon. I sure do MISS them!!!!! :-(

    Hi, rgcviper!

I miss the guys too Mom!! I do remember dressing like this when I was in my teens (minus the bare midriff for the office — tho I wore it outside the office), and even tho I could still wear the minis, I have no interest in it anymore. As I heard, if you wore them the first time around, you are too old for them now. Besides, the midi and maxi are coming back in style.

I must’ve had a long day, since I’m just not getting one.

However, I’ll throw in a trusty [eye-roll] for good measure.

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
