Those pants would look about the same on me. I’m barely 5 feet. Good morning “Cathy” clan.

Same on me, too. I found a really easy way to hem jeans. Look up “easy no cutting jeans hem” or “European jeans hem” at You Tube. There are videos there that will show you how. It works, it works! A real boon to those who need to shorten jeans. Great for men to do their own, too.

I am JUST outside the height range for “petite” pants to fit properly, so I have to get all my pants hemmed after I buy them. Every. single. time. It’s like an unfair tax on not short/not tall people!

I’m tall (about 6’) with long legs, but these pants would look terrible on me too. Because my height is in my legs, anything high waisted gets rid of my short torso and it looks like my legs start at my chest. You’d have to be tall with perfect proportions for this style to look good.Of course I have other problems with trying to find long pants.Good morning, Cathy clan! We finally got some rain today, although I wish it had been on another day instead of when our community’s parade was scheduled (esp since Lil marched in it and she’s soaking wet. Oh well, it’s just water and she had fun!)

You’d think that in panels 1 and 2, Cathy would take one look at how long those jeans are and say, “Are you kidding me?!? Do I look like I’m 10 feet tall to you?!?” <Sheesh!!!!!>

    Hi, rgcviper!

lightenup: Sorry Lil got wet in the parade today but glad to hear that she still had fun all the same!!!!! :-)

Hello and happy Saturday, fellow “Cathy” clan. Hope everyone’s having a really nice weekend so far!

I’m 5’7" and fairly long-legged, but I still have to wear petite length (oh if I could only fit into petite width!) It’s weird. I wonder what percentage of women have to deal with this?

It looks like I am not alone! All long pants I wear have to be shortened and all long sleeve dress shirts have to have the sleeves shortened. Guess I am not an average 5’7" male (used to be 5’8" but age seems to shorten bodies too)

Summerdog, thanks for the link on the Eurohem for jeans! I’ve been sewing for 51 years and this is a great addition to my techniques!

I can relate to Cathy…everything is too long for me!!

    Hi Cathy clan!!

It’s a bad sign when the pants are taller than you!

It’s amazing — when I was in high school, I couldn’t find pants long enough unless I went to the tall girls shop and then they were too big. I could never wear the ski pants with the stirrups. Now all the pants I buy are too long. I still wear about the same size, but pants have grown since I was young. And yes, hendelca, I too have shrunk, but not THAT much. Thanks for the tip about shortening them summerdog!!

Yep—those pants kinda make you look 85 years old, Cathy. Just sayin’.

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
