I don’t have this problem, I just leave the candy closed in the fridge until Halloween and my son passes it out while I take my daughters trick-or-treating. Although this year maybe we’ll switch places.

Good morning “Cathy” clan. @ lightenup You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

My resistance will be tested after Halloween when I look at all the leftovers.

I felt the same way yesterday after eating a whole plate of spaghetti which I should’ve divided in half. One of these days I’ll stop doing that to myself.

As long as the bag stays closed, I won’t open it and sneak any. So I try not to open it until the last minute.Hi friends! Thank you, lindz.coop, Shyygirl, ncalifgirl, Susan and everyone else who has prayed for us, wished us well and asked about my family. You all are the best, and I truly appreciate all of your support. I wrote a really long update yesterday for those who want to read it (better that it was yesterday to spare those who don’t). I’m sorry about your father, linda.coop. I bet that hurts to think about too. Hugs!!

We don’t have this problem because we shut off our lights, closed our door and quit giving out candy to trick-or-treaters years ago when we saw kids literally coming into our subdivision by the CARLOADS and on BUSES because the houses here are so plentiful and known to give out the really good stuff. To say that we were totally disgusted by what we saw would be a huge understatement, that’s for sure. Now we try to be anywhere else except home every year on Halloween in order to avoid the whole scene because it just makes us too mad when we see things like that happening. :-(

    Hi, rgcviper!

lightenup: So sorry that this happened to your mom but her rehab sounds encouraging though. What are her chances for a full recovery? Do you know? I’m sorry your mom’s almost-worthless neighbor decided on her own to “play doctor” and refused your pleas to get her help sooner rather than later [which made the stroke worse than it really had to be] but at least your mom DID have someone nearby that found her and [eventually] got her help because too many elderly people don’t have anyone at all watching out for them. Hopefully Marilyn feels sufficiently guilty for not calling 911 for her friend sooner than she did and if something like that were to ever happen again, maybe she won’t be so stubborn and wait so long to get help for them next time. Praying for you and your family now, sis. ((((( Hugs!!!!! )))))

Hello and Happy Monday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone had a very nice day today.
