Cathy: I wanted a bite-sized Halloween candy car. To get my mind off it, I ate three rice cakes. I still wanted the candy. I ate lite popcorn. Still wanted candy. Ate soy sorbet. Still wanted candy. Ate a carob energy bar and fat-free chips. It took 1,200 calories of healthy alternative snacks, but I did not eat the bite-sized candy bar! I resisted!! In my world, there's no such thing as an "empty" victory.

This is why people shouldn’t diet. If you want to eat something so badly, just do it and satisfy your craving already.

Cathy never can eat anything in moderation no matter what it is — bad OR good! Just another reason why we don’t keep candy [or pretty much anything sweet really] in our house . . . it’s just TOO tempting to stay out of, which makes it that much harder to successfully stay on our diet.
Hi, rgcviper!
lightenup: Anytime, girlfriend! ((( Hugs!!! )))

I keep expensive chocolate and chocolate covered cherries in the house and the price forces me to eat in moderation. Plus they all come in bite-size pieces which makes it easier.
