Cathy: You bought her that? Mr. Pinkley: Wouldn't want to dis-empower her. She used her own money! The more uncertain the world around us, the stronger the urge to take charge of our own little spaces. The more we take charge of our own little spaces, the more office supplies we buy. The more office supplies we buy the more we chounge our whole measure of success. Goodbye, company car. Hello, paper clip cup.

Typical company these days, trying to validate giving nothing to their employees, using empowering as an excuse.Good morning, Cathy clan! Hope you had a good weekend (and maybe a longer one with MLK Jr Day today)! We listened to MLK Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech this morning.

I don’t know WHAT to say about a company that refuses to purchase office supplies for their employees to use for work-related business, expecting the employees to buy anything they need on their own time and with their own money and then using the word “empowering” as their excuse in doing so . . . except maybe cheap and pathetic, not to mention someone I wouldn’t want to do business with!
Hi, rgcviper!
Hello and Happy Monday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today.
