Talk about being a control freak…not that Irving is trying to pull one over on Cathy. What is happening here, I think, is that Irving is basically saying that he wants to start all over again, with him having a chance to tell Cathy what He feels… Listen to him, Cathy…and quit being so darned sensitive to past actions. All that matters is the present…its harder for guys to express their feelings. Sometimes, Cathy, I think you are acting like a person who just Has to hang onto a grudge (even if you Were disrespected in the past)… ;)

Ugh, I remember these stupid dating games. It was like walking a tightrope between saying the right and wrong thing, and if something went wrong and you wanted to fix it, it only seemed to get worse. Good morning, Cathy clan!

Since they do end up getting married, it all works out!

Open mouth, insert foot, Irving. And Cathy, I agree with ORMouseworks. At least Irving’s trying (albeit a bit too hard) — so shut up and go with it!

Another chance! I think we would all like another chance at some of the events in our lives. Sometimes I think life needs ‘Mulligans’ (as in golf). Just took the last hour catching up on comments. Spend all my free time in the last three weeks visiting Dad in the hospital. We lost him Tuesday night. He was ready to go though – he had 95 years on this earth. He experienced tremendous changes in science, communications, and lifestyles. Could never get him to try a computer. Ever since Mom died 20 years ago, he lived on is own in his own home – right up to three weeks ago when he agreed to be admitted to the hospital to see if they could tweak his heart medicine to give him more strength. They were unable to help him but were able to keep him comfortable up to the end. This getting old really sucks – but does beat the alternative.

So sorry for the loss of your Dad, hendelca — but glad you got to spend time with him and know that he was comfortable in the end.

Remember Love Story. Two young lovers from different worlds. The rich boy gives up a lot for love. Too bad people want to work it in their schedules. Like I told my little girl, it had to have a passion to it. You will move mountains for it. It has to come both ways, too.
