I agree… they asked!! Or are they only foul-weather “friends”? Is that what they call frenemies?Hello Cathy clan! I’m in the crazy home stretch of end-of-the-school year and moving, so it’s hard for me to come by every day and comment. I’m sorry if I’ve missed some questions and comments. I hope you all understand…just don’t want anyone to wonder if I’m okay :-)

My favorite picture of my wife and me is taken by my sister-in-law. My young wife has such a smile. She was just happy. She knew she was pregnant. She was born to be a mother.I still remember that we brought a used crib. I was supposed to spray paint it alone. But she jumped in in her little nightie and big belly, holding a rag over her nose for the fumes and spraying furiously with paint can.Her favorite pregnant food was Jack in the Box tacos. She said that it would go away after the baby came. No, she had to run five miles a day to get rid of the weight. We kept going to the Balboa Hospital for four days of labor. Finally, she said, “No”. She refused to leave. Fortunately, a nurse, a friend, was able to position the baby for delivery. In the maternity ward, I looked at the wrinkle face of my son. I knew my life had changed.

I think of all the pretty women I went through, I meet a nice girl who speaks no English. I see her every day except when I have duty. She is just happy. She asks for nothing. She doesn’t complain. She tries to make me happy. I fall in love with her. Period.

As for Cathy — it’s so good to get to see these — this must have been when my hometown newspaper decided to stop carrying Cathy, because I don’t remember any of these and they are great!!
