Cathy: I've never been in a committed weight-loss program with someone before, Irving. Irving: Me either, Cathy. Cathy: I've been on every diet in the world, but always all alone. To be with someone who wants to share a fat-metabolizing system with me...I...I...I.. I can't believe this is happening to me!! Waitress: It's so beautiful before teh carb-craving kicks in... Irving: Bring us a low-glcemic appetizer!

Watch out, Cathy…men lose weight faster that women…I don’t think your “togetherness” is going to last once you find that out the hard way… ;)

Dieting, no matter what type of weight loss program, makes people grouchy. I’m there saying…. depending on the diet plan they are on…. “go eat a piece of bread”, “have a piece of cake”, “go eat a cheeseburger”.

I never tell my daughter what she should do. I did this time.As your father,I want to warn you about a year in China. The US has already sided with Japan and Philippines about China seizing small islands from both countries. We are moving our fleet to the Philippines. The Chinese have been recently been caught in a huge theft of sensitive information from US companies.
Yes, a couple weeks is fine. But a year. Do you want to be like Grandma, stranded in a country you don’t want to live the rest of your life in.The major economic impact of superpower conflict is developing long time manufacturing assets in this country to produce the goods China currently exports to this country.

Bob was the fool. You were so much better than my MSU friend.I still remember meeting you at that silly tea show.So what if you had a few pounds. You were so bright and happy. Bob was stupid. Why did you make it so hard on yourself? You should have been who you really are.

Whenever I or my husband are on a diet, it’s always together . . . and that usually happens beginning the first day of January every year!!!!! ;-)

I remember the night I met Luz. I will tell you that I was the least handsome guy in the room. Yes, Marine Corp officers are as handsome as the TV ads. Naval aviators do look like Tom Cruise and the actors in Top Gun. My friend, the Naval Aviator, was awestruck by Luz. He looked like a dark hair Greek god. But for some reason, she stayed with me. She said because “I was funny.”Luz always looks at the heart of people. She likes people with heart. That night, she saw my heart. Seeing every day I saw the inner beauty of her. Yes, she was breath taking woman. She is more breath taking in the heart. The girl I saw at the tea shop at UM was breath taking in the heart. Her smile lighted that little tea shop. She should not been worry about vain guys. She should have been looking for men who could love her beautiful heart.

Actually, the camaraderie here is kinda nice.
Ah, what the heck … I’ll still give it an [eye-roll] for good measure.

Must be true love — losing weight together :)marvee — I don’t remember any of these either and I’ve been blaming it on my newspaper discontinuing Cathy somewhere around this time period.

Diet together – not going to happen here. My wife is about 115 lbs and I am steady at 200. I need to cut back and she never does. But then, my idea of a diet is to simply eat less at each meal – without increasing the snacking (no more extra chocolate). Seems to work. Keeping weight steady in spite of sedentary lifestyle (except for tap class) I guess I am not the only one who caught a late spring cold. I blame it on talking way to much at the gathering of people to celebrate Dad’s life on Saturday. Sore throat the next day then the cold set in. Being exhausted for the past couple of weeks did not help. But then, considering that all through chemo last year and that I am still on Immuran, this is the first bad cold in over a year. Must be doing something right.
