Today, we visited the grave of Jennifer Mendez, Captain, United States Army. She was the leader of a combat group of six women in Afghanis. Thousands of women volunteer for these positions. She cared for wounded Rangers before being killed in action.However, there was group of military police in Army greens at the grave. They left a large wreath with red roses. The note said we were honored to have been there during your burial in this hallowed ground. A young male army captain in dress blues visited.Today, Jennifer received the respect she wanted in life. A group of soldiers pay respects to fallen warrior, a tiny woman with a big Mexican smile.Cowboy, not cowgirl, Cathy

I didn’t get my comics today — wonder if there are any others. Yesterday, they were all blank, today I didn’t even get them.

So, for once “Irving” blew his diet! Cathy seems to be taking it in stride… I hope y’all had a good Saturday! I did yard work all afternoon long…the temperature was just right and there was a soft breeze blowing. Got dirt all over me and Loved it! ;)

I was thinking about the young captain. He was in his dress blues, the uniform for military balls and important events. His uniform was ready for inspection. Ever his dark beret had a sharp cease to it. But wouldn’t a young officer wear his best for his sweetheart.Jennifer Mendez, Captain, United States Army, was pretty Mexican girl of 25.
