Hahahahaha!!! This is so us and our dog when we go on vacation. We start off with her in her travel crate, but after a while [usually with the first potty stop], she ends up on a goose down pillow on my lap like the little princess she is the rest of the way there!!! ;-)
Hi, rgcviper!
Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Where is everyone today? Hope it was a really great one for you!
Yes — I took a cat to the vet today — on my lap all the way. I thought he would crawl under the seat and howl, but he just sat on my lap and watched the world go by.
Since our Irish Setter (who is quite big) thinks she ought to be between us, even when driving our SUV, she has her own big pen in the back of our seats. She seems to like it…has her own blankie and toy…and doesn’t cause us to lose our concentration while driving… ;)

When I still drove and had a car, owned a pug who thought she could drive.

Well, I guess we know who the real drivers (or, at least, navigators) are.

If you want your dog to die if you have to brake suddenly, by all means have them unrestrained in the front. :-(
