Well, Cathy’s Mom, she Is getting a bit closer to your vision of a certain diamond on her left ring finger, but it isn’t going to happen so soon! Take a deep breath and slow down and enjoy where Cathy and Irving are now in their relationship! Around here, the kids are going back to school later on today! Finally (!) I can walk IS Katie in certain neighborhoods where it was not possible to do so because of the number of small children in them. They don’t understand why they can’t pet her…I have to keep telling them that she is a jumper and will knock them right over! (She weighs about 58 lbs.). Enjoy your Tuesday! ;)

I could sympathize a lot more with Cathy’s Mom (knowing that people of her generation were very set in the way they understood relationships), except that as soon as someone does get married, the Cathy’s Moms of the world start pushing them to procreate. Life is a lot shorter than anyone expects, sometimes. So it’s good to try to accept what love does come into your life, even if it doesn’t fit into neat little boxes….

When a couple starts talking about a possible future together, that usually leads to a sparkly engagement — then eventual wedding — ring at some point down the road but right now, Cathy’s Mom, you need to relax, slow your roll and take a chill pill because at this point in time, that’s still a couple of years away yet and no amount of whining, begging, pleading, etc., on your part is going to make things move any faster than they’re destined to . . . so please give your poor daughter a break already!!!

Hello and Happy Tuesday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope all my American and Canadian friends had a really great Labor Day weekend and a very nice day today too.

I’ll take anything as long as jewelry is attached to it.

Hope all the Cathy Clan had a great holiday Monday (at least those who live where Labour/Labor Day is celebrated – or even in Spain for one of us). Taken me a couple of days to get back in control of things after a week spent in Florida making sure Mickey made it through the summer. Turns out he did just fine but we sure had trouble with the heat and humidity. Sure different from here – barely reaching 20C during the day! I agree with argy.bargy2 – my wife is already leaning on my younger daughter to give us a grandchild as soon as she is married – and the wedding isn’t even until next September!
