Mom: Even if you haven't used it in years, the second it's out of the house, you'll need it! I agree, Mousie! Cathy and her mom debating sounds just like the conversation in my head as I clean up. And then the sentimentality factor gets me every time.Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday!

I sometimes have the opposite problem. Whenever I try to get rid of stuff, my mom gives me new and different things to take their place!!! ;-)

This is so true! Trying to cut back on possessions – especially in my electronics lab – before a planned spring move. Every other item I pick up brings back memories even if I haven’t used it in 30 years or so. Got to cut down on the boxes though!

This has been true for me on at least a couple of occasions, but never enough to hold on to all the junk I keep. It’s been a very uncomfortable summer of cleaning out the basement. But almost done.
