Transcript:
Saleswoman out of frame: How's the sassy new tube skirt? Cathy: Why wasn't I told the chinese chicken salad I ate every day for a year has 1,1000 calories?? Why wasn't I told the iced lattes I lived on all summer have as many calories as a slurpee?? Why wasn't I told my favorite fat-free bagels have the caloric content of a big-fat doughnut?? Why?? Why?? Why?? Saleswoman: The customer always brings a certain innocence to fashion.

Why do you need to be told everything? Why can’t you figure it out? Why can’t you just use some sense? Why?? Why?? Why?? (kidding… just mimicking her :-))Hello Cathy friends!

All that information is available online now. You can look up the caloric (fat and sodium as well) content of everything Mickey D’s sells. So it’s your own fault.

None of that matters. Just don’t eat so much.

Checking the nutrition information of my favorite coffee shop products was a real eye-opener. If Cathy’s going to get into the habit of eating the same thing, like Chinese chicken salad, every day for a year, it’s best to do some research first!

You would have thought that tighter-fitting clothes [maybe even to the point of having to buyer newer, better-fitting, larger-sized things] would have been a pretty big tip-off to Cathy that she was consuming way too many fat calories in the process of drinking iced lattes all summer and eating Chinese chicken salad every day for a year. But what the heck? Why should she be responsible for all her own bad choices when it’s just so much easier to blame someone else for every single one of her miserable failures instead? Unfortunately, that just seems to be the world we live in these days. :-(

Psssst, Cathy — it wouldn’t matter. Nobody over 60 lbs looks good in one of those “tube” skirts anyway — tho I see lots of folks squeezing into them and now they are a lot shorter and look even worse.

Innocence? Think again, sales lady.
Cathy’s remark in panel one reminds me of an interesting breakfast choice I found online today.
Also seems like it’s time to start thinking Halloween, no? Hence, my usual October user name …
HI, MOM. Greetings, “Cathy” Clan.

Uh, Cathy…you need to actively count those calories, or else they will count you pound by pound… =-O
