Cathy Classics by Cathy Guisewite for October 14, 2014
Transcript:
Irving: Your cell phone only holds a charge for six minutes. Cathy: It's fine. I talk fast. Irving: The buttons all stick. Cathy: You just have to pry them up. Irving: The screen's so scratched I can't read it. Cathy: Squint and kind of turn your head. Irving: You deserve so much better. Cathy: I'm used to this one! I understand it!! Don't make me go out there again! I'm too old to start over! Worse than re-entering the dating scene: re-entering the phone scene.

Hey Irving, it could be a good thing that Cathy is fine with “old”, beaten up things that have been around a while, you know what I mean? ;-)Hello Cathy clan!

If Cathy wasn’t the kind of girl who really sticks with a commitment, Irving wouldn’t have lasted past 1978.

While I think it’s extremely silly — not to mention horribly expensive — to buy the newest, latest, “greatest” phone every time one comes out, there’s also something to be said in a situation like this about letting go of something this old and getting a newer upgrade instead. Why is she being so stubborn about it anyhow? I swear . . . I don’t know how Cathy functions on a day-to-day basis without men in little white coats carrying butterfly nets and a straight-jacket coming to take her away!
Hi, rgcviper!
