The really odd thing on her desk is not all that calorie, fat loaded food, but the bulky computer screen.

Well, since my comment seems to have not posted the FIRST time …
I can feel my arteries clogging already.
And, yeah—I’ll toss in an [eye-roll] for good measure.
HI, MOM. Good Sunday Morning, “Cathy” Clan.
(Still missing Aaron and Billy, wherever they may be …)

Glad that we are away from that extreme diet and hopefully we now realize that balance is key (with an emphasis on the good foods).Hello Cathy clan! Happy Sunday!@summerdog Maybe the computer screen needs to go on a low-carb diet! ;)@rgcviper – Yes, I miss Aaron and Billy too. Hope they at least visit, even if they don’t say hi. @Gweedo – snerk!!Sis – Yes, we did enjoy Salzburg and tried to visit some Sound of Music sites because the girls and I love that movie. Unfortunately we didn’t plan well and it was only a day trip, so we didn’t see many. One of the ones we saw was the basilica in Mondsee (near Salzburg) where Maria and the Baron got married, and I was shocked to see there was a skeleton of a monk on display that was 869 years old! That kind of took the damper off the romance of the church… :-)Anyway, my mom had gone to Salzburg and took a Sound of Music tour where they take you around to the SoM sites. She was disappointed in it and it was expensive for a family of 4, so we thought we would do it ourselves. I still think you could find the places yourself if you plan it all out in advance. There are the sites in Salzburg and then others nearby in Mondsee (the lake scene and the church for example). Anyway, Salzburg is also the birthplace of Mozart and a lovely town on its own so it was well worth it anyway! Hope you make it there one day!

So happy you are enjoying your new life lightenup — far cry from the neighborhood group that was giving you so much trouble :)As for the carbs vs fat — I really don’t understand why folks have gotten on the bandwagon of (essentially) the Atkins diet — where the guy who started it all ended up with a heart attack. Even WW is now touting low-carb everything.
