That really is a big wow as overnight costs Big Bucks!!! That must be some present! ;)

Is that really how it was in 2003? I get deliveries seven days a week during the Christmas season, and it doesn’t cost an extra penny!

Irving paid the price for waiting till the last minute. He and Cathy are the perfect match, no matter what the “nay” sayers think.

Ouch!!! That must have really hurt the old wallet because overnight AND Saturday delivery charges back then would have been absolutely astronomical — about as much [if not more] than what he paid for the actual gift itself! Nothing like waiting until the very last minute to buy your girlfriend something for Christmas, huh, Irving? I would say, “Bet you won’t ever do that again, will you?” but he’s a man, AND he’s Irving so . . . he probably will. Now he just has to hope that after everything he spent in total for this gift, it will be something that she’ll actually like, want, need and use!!!!!
[P.S.: This IS Cathy we’re talking about so good luck with that, Irving!!!!!] ;-)
Hi, rgcviper!
O-Kay: Even today, a lot of companies will charge you an arm and a leg if you absolutely, positively MUST have something delivered overnight so it’s always better not to wait until the very last minute when you’re shopping for anyone else except yourself — especially at this time of year.
Dr. K.F.G. (from yesterday): Yes, I’m one of those people who still mails their Christmas cards. This year I sent out about 50 of them. I don’t know how other people feel about receiving them that way vs. getting an e-card instead, but as for me, I really like getting actual, physical cards in the mail pretty much every day the last week or 2 leading up to Christmas. I’m sure that one day, that quaint, cozy little tradition will completely go the way of the dinosaurs but until it does, I’ll continue to send and enjoy receiving them every year!!!!! :-)
Hello and Happy Saturday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone’s having a really nice day today!

Oops – Belated (since it is now after midnight) birthday greetings to lindz.coop.
And Dr. K.F.G (also from yesterday), we still send and are happy to receive physical Christmas Cards – really tough to display an e-card for everyone to admire. Yes, I guess I could transfer them to an e-picture frame but really, a row of cards does look beautiful.
