Cathy: I lit a candle and asked cupid to send a sign. Moments later, a ring box fell out of Irving's gym bag as I was throwing out all of his possessions. A ring box which he apparently forgot was there... a ring box which made me forget why I was throwing out all his things... A ring box which wiped out all bad memories and turned our past into a happy, fuzzy blur... When I asked for a sign, I meant a sign of love, not a sign of senility!!!

I think you both lost your minds years ago. A match made in heaven.By the way, GretchensMom, you had a great point yesterday… how could Irving forget he bought a ring (that I assume cost a lot of money)?? They must have done some serious drugs or something and lost a lot of brain cells. Kids, don’t do drugs.

The only thing that makes sense to me is that he remembers buying it but forgot he put it in the gym bag. But of course these two never made sense.

If I spent thousand of dollars on something, you can BET I would know where I kept it. In fact, if I planned to NOT use it, I would have returned it.

I think they’re both senile: Irving for buying Cathy an engagement ring, putting it in his gym bag, forgetting it’s in there and then breaking up with her . . . and Cathy for suddenly forgetting that Irving had just recently broken up with her and she was in the process of throwing out all his things when she unexpectedly came across the ring box and now seems to be dreading/hoping for a marriage proposal to go along with it. Ack!!!!!
