He is most likely oblivious, especially since he can’t keep track of a piece of jewelry that he presumably spent a good amount of money on.
I’m definitely saving that 4th panel for future reference!Reading Cathy recently has been a serious roller coaster ride! If Cathy agrees to marry him after telling herself no, she deserves all the craziness with him. eye roll

I have seen nothing to indicate she looked in the box. It could be empty. I could be used for storing something else. It could have a mans ring in it. He could be holding it for someone else. Why assume it was something for her?

Irving lives in another zip code? Huh! I always thought he lived in the same town as Cathy. Just goes to show that no matter how well you think you know something, turns out there’s always something new you can learn anyhow! ;-)

lightenup Loved the picture. And I needed cleansing, not just for the strip, but from the travel adventures this weekend. Flight delay on Friday on our way from Toronto to Toledo for a conference and then a flight cancellation on Sunday night then a delay on Monday on our way back. Seems Toronto airport was having a freezing rain and ice problem. Got to stay in a nice motel in Detroit though so no complaints. Just got back much later than expected. Today was a good day. About 8" of fluffy white stuff that was easy to shovel and not so cold. Hope anyone in the clan living in the US north east was not hit too hard by the storm.
