Irving: Could we..um..spend a whole day together where we don't discuss the "you know what"? Cathy: Of course, Irving. I'd like that too. Irving: Great! Cathy: How's December 5? Irving: For what? Cathy: That could be the day we don't discuss the "you know what." Irving: December 5? Cathy: I think so. By then we will have discussed the invitations...the rehearsal..the dresses..the limos..the tuxes..the band..the hair..the menu..the flowers...the seating...the vows...the dances...the rings...the favors...the procession...the honeymoon...the video...the photos..the albums..the rehash, rehash, rehash...yes! I think we could take the day of December 5 to not discuss the "you know what"! Irving: OK! You're kidding!! Ha, Ha! You almost had me! I meant today! Ha, Ha, Ha! Cathy: Today?? Hoo, ha! That's a good one! A classic! What a riot!! Mom: Isn't it wonderful to hear the happy couple laughing together?? Dad: We brought our guest list to discuss! Irving: Ha, Ha! 'December 5'! Cathy: 'Today'! Hoo, ha, ha!

Oddly enough we haven’t had much snow here this winter. Often we’re swamped when the rest of the country is clear! But it has been terribly cold a lot of the time.
Today, though, it’s bright and definitely feels warmer. Spring must be on the way! It would be nice to have some warmth, light and colour in time for my birthday. (That gives it a couple of weeks to get on with the Springing!)
As for Cathy and Irving . . . oh dear. You’ve made the decision. Now just go and quietly elope . . .

I forgot to say earlier… Thank you to GretchensMom for that thoughtful and sweet anniversary message to our dear friends, Aaron and Billy! They are dearly missed and I with them all the happiness in the world.

Aaron and Billy may have gone – for whatever reasons – but they are not forgotten. If you’re still out there, A and B, it would be lovely to hear from you, just to let us know that you’re well and happy.

Thanks for the well-wishes for keeping warm — it’s very spring-like today in the Detroit area. We may hit the 50s by mid-week which is 70 degrees warmer than it was about a week ago here. Thanks for posting the Happy Anniversary to A & B, Mom — I too hope they are doing well wherever they are now. As for Cathy — eye-roll — elope and get it over with.
