Bridal consultant: The dress will be let out...taken in...buttons added...sparkles moved...train on...train off...Choose the size and style closest to your grandest fantasy of who'll you be... and we'll spend the next year changing the dress to keep up with you! Cathy: It's the first piece of clothing that ever understood me!! Charlene: I told you to get married sooner!

Let’s see now. Cathy will be too busy planning the wedding to exercise and of course she has to sample every possible treat for the reception. Yep, I’d say three sizes larger than now will be just about right.

Cathy . . . thinner, more trimmed and toned, with different hair and better skin? HA!!! What planet is she living on anyhow? If she never found the time “pre-Irving” when she was still out in the dating world to get all that done, where is she going to find the time “pre-wedding” to do it now? She isn’t! So she might as well buy the dress 2 or 3 sizes bigger than she currently needs. That way, it can be taken in if she manages to stay the same weight she is now, and it won’t need many (if any) adjustments should she end up gaining a few more pounds (which is actually more likely) before the big day arrives.
Hi, rgcviper! Congrats on your 9000th comment yesterday! I’ve been a GC member for a little over 6 years now and I’ve only made 4,807 (4,808 with this one) myself. Given that Cathy is pretty much the only place I leave comments at these days, it could take me as long as another 9 or 10 years (at least!) to get that many under my belt!!! ;-)
