I’m with exoticdoc2 – still in the emergency only phase (and I do not have a text plan as my phone does not have a keyboard or a touchscreen). Happy Friday eve to the Clan.

Something like this would drive me absolutely bat-sh*t crazy! While I loved talking on the phone with all my friends when I was a teenager, I had to do it so much with all my office jobs when I worked that I now try to avoid talking on the phone whenever possible. And when I do, I try to keep the conversations as short as I can. I’m much better when it comes to face-to-face interaction with people. That’s how my b.f.f. and I have 2-hour-long dinners together once a month. But inane phone calls like this multiple times a day — even from that same b.f.f.? Oh, God, NO! I’d go absolutely crazy if she were to ever do that to me. Frankly, I’mnot sure we could remain friends anymore if she did!!!!! :-P

Hi, rgcviper! Well, I’m just completely stumped! I was so POSI-TIVE that my instructions on posting comics and pictures at G.C. would solve your problem that I would have been willing to bet good money on it . . . which is something that I normally NEVER do! Something just seems to be getting lost in translation some-where but I’ll be darned if I know what and where though!!! :-(

There are only 2 other things I can think of that may be wrong:1.) It could be a web browser problem. Some play nicer together than others. Chrome is the browser I have on my laptop, so it definitely works with that one. I also tried using the formula on Firefox and it worked there too . . . sort of. I had to do a little bit of “tinkering around” before it finally did (which I’ll explain further down). Not sure about any other browsers though.2.) The comic’s website address itself. You can’t copy and paste it directly from the search bar to the G.C. comments box (along with the rest of the formula) because it won’t work that way. If you’ve got Chrome, you have to do a right click on the actual comic itself then choose “copy image URL” (if you’ve got Firefox, then it’s “copy image location”). That address is the one you’d use instead (you just won’t see it until you paste it in the comments box). Maybe you can try that and see if it works.If you’re using Firefox, the “tinkering around” I had to do was use the first part of the formula like this: <img src= And then I changed the ( ’ ) to this instead ( " ) (minus the parenthesis, of course) di-rectly in front of and behind the website address, and then I left the quotation marks off all together when I did the last part so that it looks like this instead: width=356>I’m sure this looks completely confusing to you because it sure does to me and I know what I’m trying to say . . . I’m just havinga difficult time doing it this way. This is where face-to-face worksSO much better than any other form of communication there is!!! If none of these suggestions work either, then I’m afraid I’m completely out of ideas. Maybe G.C. will get back to you soon with some helpful suggestions of their own. I know it’s all so frustrating but try not to give up just yet!To our other fellow “Cathy” Friends: is there anyone else here who also knows how to post comics and pictures on G.C. that either has any other ideas/suggestions I haven’t thought of or who can maybe explain how to do it better than I’ve been able to so far? HI, MOM. Ah-ha … I’ll try using the “Copy image U.R.L./location” after right-clicking on it, rather than the address in the bar at the top of my browser. If that doesn’t work, I’ll give it a shot in Chrome instead of my usual Firefox. (I’ve had a busy day and am behind schedule, but will let you know this weekend.)
