Cathy, tell her to clean up her house a bit when company is coming over! Have a little respect for the company! Now if they just dropped in without notice….they deserve to view the every day mess we put off cleaning up. To actually get it done, I pretend company is coming. Moves me to clean it up.

I’ve been busy with different life events, so I’ve been reading but haven’t had a chance to speak up. Enjoy your many trips lightenup – I’ve just recently been able to travel and there’s nothing like it. The stuff at home will wait until you get back. :-)

Yes, Andrea, you’ve been “butting in” with advice and opinions to Cathy for years regarding Irving. But she has chosen to ignore all that and is now preparing to marry him. Time to stop with all the lectures on how “bad” he is and focus your energy somewhere else that would matter a whole lot more — like your messy house for instance. I know you’ve got a couple of kids but . . . sheesh!You knew Cathy was coming for a visit. Couldn’t you have made at least a half-assed attempt at cleaning this pig-sty up?!? She was so nervous about seeing you again that she completely spazzed out over the clothes she was going to wear for this little reunion the two of you were having. If nothing else, then the absolute least you could have done was washed a few dishes and shoved the laundry basket into your bedroom closet before she got there! :-P
