Co-worker: I will be cooking a complete Thanksgiving dinner for 25, including six vegans and one wheat-intolerant! Charlene: I will be baking nine pies, four dozen pilgrim cookies and a loaf of cranberry bread in the shape of a turkey! Cathy: I will be trying to conform to the classic holiday expectations of new in-laws I barely know while remaining full of fun and interesting little surprises!! Co-worker: The human jello mold!! Charlene: You win on degree of difficulty!!

Cathy will be going to her in-laws for Thanksgiving? What a show! I’ll get the popcorn, someone save me a front row seat..Hello Cathy clan! Are you all ready for your feasts this week? I’m not even sure we’ll do one, although our Spanish friends want us to because they enjoyed it last year (or they just want to have someone else cook, one of the two ;-))

Oh, we don’t do Thanksgiving here. So we’re saved from all that cooking and cleaning and tidying and washing up and whatever else makes it such a fun occasion . . .
But if you do celebrate it – hope you have a good one!

I’m glad Thanksgiving for Canadians is in October. We always get to incorporate the harvest from our garden, and by Christmas I’m actually ready for more turkey. :)

Hello Cathy friends! I’m as ready as I’ll get stuffinup, I’m cooking for 8-10 people but will be missing my son who we can’t afford to send for. He’s spending the holiday with a friend. I agree summerdog, the cleanup is exhausting and it’s very hard to find room for leftovers!

Feeling blessed to be going to my cousin’s house for Thanks-giving this year where the meal will be a pitch-in affair (and some-one ELSE is doing the clean-up!!!). I’m bringing the pumpkin pies for dessert because they’re my specialty. YUM!!!!! :-)
