Lydia was smart and saw the writing on the wall. Lucky her. I gotta say that I hate the dumb “I say I’m joking, but I’m really insulting you while playing it off as a joke so you don’t think I’m the jerk I really am”.Hello Cathy friends! Our internet connection at home went down Sunday night, so I’m here at the school with my laptop. I’d go to Starbucks but they are not as plentiful here as they are in the US. So, my best choices are here or at the grocery store. :-)Have a nice Tuesday and keep your fingers crossed for me!

My late m-i-l once took photos of us standing on their doorstep. Then on my next Sunday-dinner visit, she showed me some photos – of OH standing on the doorstep, in exactly the same pose, but with a previous girlfriend . . .

It’s really hard coming in as the new love interest when the family likes the ex so much. Poor Cathy! And I agree stuffinup – it obviously wasn’t a joke, it was cruel.

That’s terrible Anona! but one of my not-so-smart exes was worse – he showed me a picture of someone else he was currently dating and expected me to stay.

Such a sense of humor that new f-i-l has…he’ll be a lot of fun to be around. (as seldom as possible.)
