I have to say, I have several now-adult nieces and a 10 yo daughter of my own, and not a single one of them has thought ANYTHING about a wedding. I suspect there will be a lot of elopements and “destination weddings” in our future – which is great with me!
I did some pictures beforehand and then more after the wedding with everyone. Remember the groom can’t see the bride so you can’t take pictures with him until after the wedding..Hello Cathy clan! I hope you all are warm and safe!
Geez, Cathy, at your age just how oily IS your skin, face and hair anyhow?!? Sounds like you’re not using the right kind of soap, facial cleanser, shampoo and make-up for your skin type if it’s that bad!
When I got married, we did pictures before, during and after the wedding (not to mention during the reception, too, of course),and never ONCE did my hair and make-up look so bad that I had to run home between either one of those events to take a shower and start the whole process all over again!!!
My recommendation is to look good for the pictures because they’re going to last a whole lot longer than the wedding and reception will so you might as well look fresh and pretty for them (instead of greasy, droopy and with ruined mascara!).
Hi, rgcviper! :-)
Hello and Happy Saturday, fellow Cathy fans. Here in southern Indiana where I live, we got around 9 or 10 inches of snow in the last 3 days or so. We’d no sooner get the driveway shoveled off and a place made out in the backyard for the 9-lb. family dog to go potty when it would snow some more and we’d have to begin the whole process all over again! Hopefully we’re done now —at least for a little while anyhow.
So how about the rest of you? Anyone else getting snow and, if so, how much? Hope you’re all staying safe and warm whereyou are! :-)

She’ll need a shoehorn to get into that dress in the first place, I’ll bet. 5 hours indeed…more like 5 minutes!

Take all the pictures at the same time, then get married. :)
