Only you Cathy. Eyeroll! Sometimes we go out to dinner but unless there’s some surprise I don’t know about we’re just staying home with the kids this year. We can have dinner, a movie, popcorn and candy for much less!
Hello and Happy Monday Cathy friends! I have a long, busy day today, glad I get to rest tomorrow. Hope everyone’s having a good day so far!
Given how big a shopaholic Cathy is, I don’t know why she needs to buy anything new in the way of clothes, shoes or purses. All she has to do is open her closet door and “shop” from there because she probably has a ton of things that she’s never even cut the tags off of!
As for my hubby and me, we haven’t exchanged actual Valentine’s Day gifts in years. We still give each other a nice card and go out for dinner, of course, but that’s it. Most of the time, I don’t even bother to put on make-up let alone buy new clothes, get a facial and a mani-pedi for the “occasion.” I know Cathy is a hopeless romantic and that she’s continuing to bask in the glow of what is still a fairly new marriage but this is just way over the top ….. even for her!

I’m with you Mom….card and dinner….usually not on Valentine’s Day because all the restaurants are really crowded. Sometimes we go to the Folky Valentine Concert.

Ridiculous, especially since guys for the most part couldn’t care less about shoes, purse, manicure, outfit, etc.
